Emerging Designers in Focus on August 12-14th at San Francisco Fashion Week
With a Kick-Off party that is destined to be fabulous, emerging fashion designers are in the spotlight from August 8-14th at the 2011 San Francisco Fashion WeekTM. Sponsored by the San Francisco Fashion and Merchants Alliance, Inc. (SFFAMA) and Wix.com.
SFFAMA Inc., is a California non-profit corporation dedicated to business and technology education for fashion and creative industries. The goal of the San Francisco Fashion Week is to serve as a catalyst for local fashion and technology talent; the models in the runway shows on August 12-14th which will be held at Wix.com outdoor tent in the Mission, will be wearing designs from some of San Francisco’s rising stars of style.
This year’s theme “A New Beginning” reflects the goal of the San Francisco area fashion industry: to become the next world capital of fashion. Throughout the week there will be workshops on technology and fashion at various locations in the downtown area of the city. The participating workshop venues include HQ Office, Apple Store, 5 Claude Lane Gallery Efactor and Pigment Cosmetics.
In addition to San Francisco Fashion Week, the organization has also produced the Beauty Expo, Project San Francisco Fashion Feud, Pret-A-Porter SF and Fashion Mash-Up workshops. tickets for the August 12th Emerging Designers Runway #1 Show are $30.
